Eep.

I keep forgetting about this blog! I have a tumblr, so that usually is the easier option when it comes to quick blogging. I really really REALLY want to get into this blog more though! I think that I'll have more use for it next year when I'll be a Northern Girl in a Southern World.

Oh right, did I forget to mention?

I got into COLLEGE!!!!

I was accepted into Auburn University, University of Kentucky, and Baylor

I'm still waiting on SMU (top choice! fingers crossed!) and College of Charleston. I hope I get good news from both!

till next time...

College Time!

Being a Senior has its many perks.
There are senior privileges, senior desks, and other such things that make this year super fun.

However, we also have to deal with things like College Applications, SAT's and other heavy school work (at least in the fall!)

This girl however has been preparing for college probably since eighth grade and researching schools! I was SUPER prepared when it came to college searching and applying! Have to admit though, having riding as a passion limited some of my school choices, but also introduced me to schools I probably would have never applied to before!

I have to admit, I am a northern girl... but I want to go SOUTH!

here are my top three choices! (not in any particular order)

Auburn University! Home of the Tigers! I love this university for its big campus opportunities with a small campus feel! I also would LOVE to have a football school seeing as my school doesn't have a football team and I've been severely lacking in the spirit department (besides being head cheerleader....)

Next School...

College of Charleston! I love Charleston. The minute I arrived I felt that I belonged there. Their riding team is good and the people are super nice!

and last but certainly not least...

Southern Methodist University! Recently visited this school in Dallas and was blown away by how beautiful it is and how lovely all of the people are! Hope I get in, fingers crossed!

Till next time.... xoxo Emily!

Oh goodness...

I haven't been on here in ages! I took the summer off due to college apps and riding but now that I'm back in the swing of things I would love to get back into this blog! I feel that now I'm a senior and starting to think more seriously about my life and my future, a blog would be a good thing to have in order to reference back to past things! I'm so excited to start a new chapter in my life and I hope to take you all along for the journey with me!

Hiatus

I will be going on a short Hiatus due to the extreme amount of work I have to do. I only have a month left of junior year and I really need to bring my grades up in order for my GPA to be somewhat decent. I wish I didn't have to give up all of my favorite websites, but I do. Because honestly, I don't get any work done when I'm on them.

Hope y'all understand

Good Advice

They truly are. I don't know what I would do without my pearls, they just seem to complete my face and add a little special something.

The Girl Behind the Blog

(I'm the one in the red)

Lately

I've become obsessed with interior design and weddings. I sound like such a typical girl, but I truly love to look through both types of blogs! I can see myself one day either becoming a wedding planner or an interior designer and creating my own business with a couple of friends. It's just another dream of mine (I have many!) but I will continue posting pictures that I find to be inspiring . Well, I'm off to go write an extremely long paper about the rights of women and family planning *groan*. Well, wish me luck!

So basically...

I have only about a month left until I am done with Junior year. I have to say, even though everyone kept telling me that this year was going to be the hardest, I really didn't find it hard at all until just now. I have more homework/essays/projects/finals than I have ever had in my high school career. And add onto that a ballet recital, my horse being sick, and stressing about summer show plans and you have a recipe for disaster. I just hope that I can hold on for a little longer and work on getting my grades up so that I can hopefully attend the college of dreams. As of right now I have three top choices for schools

Auburn
University of Kentucky
College of Charleston

I'm so excited to get my applications in soon and get on with my life! Only one more year!

To say I'm excited is quite a bit of an understatement... I'm BEYOND excited!

Till next time, Emily

Well, here we go!

Alright, a little introduction might be necessary

Hi! I'm Emily and I'm 16 (going on 17) years old and a Junior (almost Senior) in High School. I live in the Hamptons and have an affinity for all things preppy and southern. I fully intend on going to college in the South and already have a working list of where I plan on applying to! I have a tumblr (forthdream) that I have been blogging on since last July, but I thought that having a blogspot as well would make it a little more personal. So please, follow me and come visit my blog! I promise that I'll try and update as frequently as I can.

Till next time, Emily
